Was Mark Kennedy a real eco-warrior?

G8 Demonstration

After an interview with the spy that traded plenty of classified information, it is still hard to determine exactly whether Mark Kennedy is an eco-warrior or undercover cop, although his story being out in print now should make things a little bit simpler.  Known mostly as Mark Stone, his alternate alias, by those who fight for environmental issues, his work as a protestor led the UK to such concern that they sent an entire group of officers into the US to make sure that that he had not decided to go ‘rogue’ which could have endangered many of the other undercover officers in the states.

Both the officers after Kennedy and the environmental activists were anxious to find out just whose side he was on, but yesterday after the interview it seemed that he did not have a clear loyalty to either side leaving both his employers and friends angered and confused.  However, what is clear is that he has managed to put the National Public Order Intelligence Unit in the hot seat, claiming that he was advised to make every move that he did and was not in fact as out of control as the agency reported him to be.
